Through Stormwalker Ranch’s SPURS program. The Ranch has hosted over 167 Students per week, 900 public school students and many adult programs altogether these programs have provided over 2200 people with the opportunity to allow the team of humans and horses assist people as they have dealt with learning challenges, trauma, loneliness, anxiety, depression, thoughts of suicide and addiction.
SPURS provides public schools with programming that allows students and faculty alike to work through barriers inhibiting knowledge transfer in the classroom. Teaching students how to regulate energy through equine therapy is allowing faculty to learn how they can help their students regulate that same energy in the classroom through the shared experience.
