The 2019 SWR Summer Camps have been programmed specifically for On the Rock Ministries (OTRM).

2019 SUMMER CAMPS

JUNE 05-07: OTRM HOOFBEATS CAMP
JUNE 19-21: OTRM TRAILBLAZERS CAMP
JUNE 26-28: OTRM HOOFBEATS CAMP
JULY 10-12: OTRM TRAILBLAZERS CAMP

DAY CAMPS

Ranging anywhere from 1 to 5 full or partial days, Hoofbeats faith-based, day camps provide carefully crafted programs to meet the goals of the groups as well as each individual. Focusing on 4th – 12th graders, these day camps offer young riders age-appropriate activities like equine safety and awareness, team building games, horse riding lessons, ranch work, craft projects, Equine Experiential Learning, recreation, outdoor games, and much more. 

Snacks and lunch are included.

OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Partnering with youth ministries in the region, these Trailblazers overnight camps are a biblically-based equestrian program focused on providing campers with a unique opportunity for discipleship and leadership. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the group and individuals. Activities include a rustic, overnight camping experience, outdoor-cooked meals, riding lessons, equine learning activities, water games, ranch work, team building, stargazing, campfire, Bible lessons, archery and more.

Meals included.

HORSEMANSHIP TRAINING

Quality horsemanship is one of the primary goals of Equestrian Adventure Camp. No matter your skill level, campers will learn a foundation of respect, care, and communication with a goal of equine partnership.

Topics/activities may include:

  • FORWARD AND BEND
  • GAITS AND FRAMES
  • SOFT FEEL
  • EQUINE PARTNERSHIP
HORSE CARE & GROOMING

Learn how to feed, house, and care for your horse. Discover proper feeding/nutrition, what good health looks like and when to call the vet. Learn to groom, stable, and care for your horse.

Topics/activities may include:

  • HORSE CARE & GROOMING
  • HALTERING & LEADING
  • SADDLES AND TACK
  • BREEDS AND COLORS
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Personal and spiritual growth are woven into every part of the camp program. Building relationships with God, family, and others develop a person who is kind, responsible, and acts with a servant’s heart.

Topics/activities may include:

  • CRAFT PROJECTS
  • KNOTS AND HALTER-MAKING
  • FAITH-BUILDING
  • RECREATION
